First sessions of Recorridos de la lengua: Living writings, writings of the commmonplace
Recorridos de la lengua is a research-encounter between the project Fosilífera promoted by Lorena Mal and the community project Chasen Thajni led by Ulises Matamoros and the n'giba community of Santa Inés Ahuatempan, plus invited collaborators.
Beginning with a series of walks through the fossiliferous landscape of the Mixteca poblana, these activities seek to deepen a collective experience of the territory, its histories and the forms of memory of language and the body through its strata, languages and traces.
For our first walking session and socializing session we were joined by writer and ecopoet Andrés González who shared, ate and listened with us.
We went down the ravine or ‘naa'nta’ in n'giba, a word that the community tells us is phonetically the union of na (mother) and n'ta (water), as if to say “mother water”.
